Dr. Francis W. Price Jr. is the founder of Price Vision Group in Indianapolis, Indiana, and founder of the Cornea Research Foundation of America.
He is one of the pioneers of endothelial keratoplasty, the partial thickness corneal transplant that replaces only the damaged inner layer of the cornea. His group was among the first in the United States to perform DSEK and DMEK in large numbers, publish their outcomes and teach the techniques to other surgeons, which helped make these faster-healing transplants the standard of care for Fuchs’ dystrophy and corneal swelling.
Dr. Price cares for patients with Fuchs’ dystrophy, corneal edema, failed previous transplants, keratoconus and cataracts, and continues to run clinical research on corneal surgery and new treatments.
